Spring 2012: Earned his second BIG EAST Men[apos]s Tennis player of the Week honor during the week of March 13 ... Finished with a 14-8 record including a 10-5 mark at the number five singles position ... won five-consecutive singles matches including big back-to-back wins against No. 70 Princeton (6-4, 5-7, 6-3) and No. 75 Fairfield (6-3, 6-2) ... went 9-1 to start the spring campaign ... went 10-8 in doubles play ... defeated No. 27 LSU by an 8-4 margin (March 15) ... clinched a doubles point in the Red Storm[apos]s victory over No. 47 Louisiana (March 16) with a 9-8 (7-5) win.
Fall 2011: Recorded eight singles wins during the fall campaign ... won the second flight of Fall Columbia Classic (Oct. 7-9) with four-straight victories, including wins over FDU, Princeton, Fairfield and Columbia ... reached the consolation bracket championship with a pair of victories at the Princeton/Farnsworth Invitational (Sept. 16-18) ... played doubles in just one event in the fall, the Columbia Classic, where he paired with teammate Vasko Mladenov to pick up three wins to take the top bracket title ... defeated teammates Milo Hauk and Gustav Kallen to claim the doubles title.
Spring 2011: Named to the All-BIG EAST Team for the second-consecutive season ... finished with a 16-7 record in singles play, including a 7-2 mark at the No. 3 singles position ... concluded the season by winning nine of his last 10 matches ... capped a nine-match winning streak with a 6-1, 6-1 win at Stony Brook (April 18) ... went 4-0 in BIG EAST play with wins over Villanova (April 9), Connecticut (April 3), Georgetown (March 25) and USF (March 13) ... took a 7-5, 7-5 win at No. 57 Princeton (March 5) ... opened the season with consecutive victories against Dartmouth (Feb. 18) and Fairleigh Dickinson (Feb. 4) ... won 12 doubles matches, including seven with teammate Stefan Bojic at the No. 2 slot ... helped clinch the doubles point against DePaul (April 29) in the opening round of the BIG EAST Championship with an 8-2 win ... defeated nationally-ranked Penn (March 18) 8-6 and nationally-ranked Binghamton (Feb. 26) by an 8-1 margin.
Fall 2010: Finished the fall season with a 6-4 record in singles play, playing primarily at the No. 1 or 2 singles positions ... reached the third round of the USTA/ITA Regional Championships (Oct. 16-18) of the E bracket ... won the Fall Columbia Classic (Oct. 8-10) No. 1 singles consolation bracket ... won opening match of the USTA Invitational (Sept. 24-26) ... won three consecutive matches to win the No. 2 singles consolation bracket at the Farnsworth/Princeton Invitational (Sept. 18-20) ... went 3-4 in doubles play with teammate Stefan Bojic, playing primarily in the No. 2 spot ... reached the finals of the B consolation bracket at the USTA Invitational ... finished 1-1 with Bojic at both the Fall Columbia Classic and USTA/ITA Regional Championships.
Spring 2010: Named 2010 BIG EAST Freshman of the Year and a member of the All-BIG EAST Team ... compiled the top record on the squad at 18-2, seeing action at the No. 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6 spots as a rookie ... at 18-2, he tallied the best singles record since Louis Demarteaux in 2006 ... claimed victories in his final nine matches of the season ... 13 of his singles wins came in straight sets ... defeated USF in the first round of the BIG EAST Championship 1-6, 6-2, 6-3, after losing the first set ... captured BIG EAST Conference victories over Connecticut (April 1), Villanova (April 1) and Georgetown (March 21) ... earned five wins over Ivy League opponents: Yale (March 28), Penn (March 19), Harvard (March 12), Cornell (March 6) and then-No. 71 Princeton (Feb. 21) ... won six of his last seven doubles matches and nine total on the year.
At Ocean Township: Played at the No. 1 singles position for four years at Ocean Township ... won the New Jersey State Championship as a senior ... ranked No. 50 in the nation and No. 1 in the 18 & Under section of the Eastern USTA Division as a junior.
Personal: The son of Abel and Teresita Lampa, Michael is the youngest of five brothers ... chose St. John[apos]s for its prestigious academic and athletic environments ... majoring in pharmacy.
