Fall 2007: Tallied a 1-3 record in singles play, including a 1-2 mark at the No. 5 spot during the ECAC Invitational ... partnered with Alex Svetlakov at the No. 1 doubles spot and posted a 1-2 record during the ECAC Invitational.
Spring 2007: Posted a 4-3 singles record at the No. 5 and 6 spots ... finished the season on a four-match winning streak, all in straight sets ... compiled a 7-8 doubles record with four different partners ... saw most of his doubles time at No. 3 with Alex Svetlakov, where the pair finished with a 4-6 record.
Fall 2006: Competed at the ECAC Division I Invitational Championship (Sept. 29-Oct 1) ... saw action at the No. 4 singles position ... posted an 0-2 singles record ... went 2-1 in doubles action with Tom Green ... played at the No. 2 spot at the ECAC DI Invitational Championship.
At Sentinel Secondary: Lettered for one year in tennis ... was named the singles and doubles most valuable player by his high school teammates ... was a member of the 2004 British Columbia high school tennis championship team.
Personal: Son of Ruth and Richard Wallensteen ... has one brother, Stuart (17) who attends Xaverian High School in Brooklyn ... a business management major.
Off The Court: Wallensteen chose St. John[apos]s because of its academic and athletic history. He was named a 2006-07 BIG EAST Academic All-Star. He says it is an honor and privilege to be chosen to wear the St. John[apos]s uniform. When he[apos]s not on the court, Wallensteen enjoys weight lifting, watching movies and playing cards. Wallensteen says the most thrilling moment in his athletic career was playing doubles against former professional doubles star, Grant Connell. His favorite TV show is Friends and his favorite professional sports team is FC Barcelona.
