Junior (2016): Set new personal bests for 4K, 5K, and 6K races … Grabbed three top-50 finishes … Finished second at the NYIT Invite in September (20:30.17, 5K) … Placed in the top-50 at the BIG EAST Championships in October and also competed in the NCAA Northeast Regional.
Sophomore (2015): Set new personal-best times for 4K, 5K and 6K races … recorded two top-50 finishes and four top-100 finishes … added a scoring effort in six races for the Red Storm ran a personal-best time of 21:03.9 at the Boston College Coast-to-Coast Battle (Sept. 25) … ran a personal-best time of 23:22.6 and finished 79th overall at the BIG EAST Championships (Oct. 31).
Freshman (2014): Opened up her season by running 23:16.9 at the Metropolitan Championship (Oct. 10) in 5K for 94th place overall … ran a time of 22:20.1 in 5K at the ECAC Championships (Nov. 22) … finished 85th overall at the BIG EAST Championship (Oct. 31) with a time of 27:27.2 in 6K … in her first ever NCAA Regional posted a 28:02.45 in 6K.
Before St. John’s: Captained her cross country and indoor and outdoor track & field teams as a senior at Pompton Lakes... guided the Cardinals cross country squad to its first-ever winning record ... achieved a 5K personal best of 21:48 ... received all-country honorable mention status in every season at the varsity level.
Personal: Has foursiblings; Cynthia (28), Stephanie (26), Alexandra (25) and Cesar (22) ... cousin Martin Hidalgo played soccer for the Peruvian national team ... hobbies include tweeting, blogging, reading, cooking, running and working out ... participated in the Environmental Club, school newspaper and Future Business Leaders of America while at Pompton Lakes.
