As a junior in 2011: Appeared in 24 games, starting 18 ... posted a .241 on-base percentage ... went 3-for-4 with two RBI and two runs scored in season opener vs. Florida State (Feb. 11) ... went 1-for-2 against Colgate (March 5) ... named to the 2010-11 BIG EAST All-Academic Team.
As a Sophomore in 2010: Played in 40 games with 18 starts (15 at designated player, two at second base and one at first base) ... hit .217 with 10 hits, 10 runs score, three RBI, two walks ... ranked fourth on team with seven steals in 11 attempts ... recorded first hit of the season against Youngstown State (Feb. 19), going 1-of-3 with one run scored and one stolen base ... at Charleston Southern (Feb. 20), went 1-of-3 with one RBI and one run scored ... recorded first multi-hit game of career against Iowa State (Feb. 27), going 2-of-3 ... went 1-of-3 with one RBI against Creighton (March 12) ... scored game-winning run on a wild pitch in the eighth inning against Minnesota (March 13 ... went 1-of-2 with one run scored against Kent State (March 28) ... went 1-of-2 with one RBI against Syracuse (April 7) ... named to BIG EAST All-Academic Team.
As a Freshman in 2009: Saw playing time in 16 games, making 14 starts...blasted two home runs in 34 at-bats, ranking second on team in at-bats per home run (17)...also recorded two doubles, five RBI, five runs scored, four walks and one stolen base... hit first career home run vs. Michigan State (Feb. 14), going 1-for-2 with two RBI.
Before St. John[apos]s: Four-year letterwinner at Brentwood ... team captain as junior and senior ... also played basketball for thee years and soccer for two years, earning a total of nine varsity letters ... All-Long Island selection in 2008.
Personal: Born in Bethpage, N.Y. ... parents are Charles and Mary Gwynn ... has two older brothers, Christopher and Matthew ... chose to attend St. John[apos]s because of its softball program and location ... majoring in sports management.
