Spring 2013: Won 12 matches, including 11 at second singles, in her first season in the Red and White ... tallied the most singles victories for a freshman in a single season since Jenny Yonkus put up 11 wins during her rookie campaign in 2008 ... ended the season on a four-match winning streak ... took the clinching point in back-to-back matches against BIG EAST opponents Seton Hall (April 13) and Providence (April 14) ... started off her St. John[apos]s career with three straight wins against Boston University (Jan. 20), Fairfield (Jan. 26) and Cornell (Feb. 2) ... recorded an 8-11 record in doubles.
Fall 2012: Advanced to the quarterfinals of the singles 'B' flight at the Columbia Fall Classic (Sept. 17) ... won four straight matches to take the flight 'C' consolation championship at the Cissie Leary Invitational (Sept. 24) ... claimed the 'G' singles flight title at the USTA Women[apos]s College Invitational (Oct. 9).
Before St. John[apos]s: A 2012 graduate of Mounds Park Academy ... set a Minnesota state record with six Class A singles championships ... claimed four consecutive state doubles titles ... helped lead Mounds Park Academy to three consecutive state titles from 2007-09 ... was named team captain her senior year ... also lettered in track and field for three years.
Personal: Daughter of Traci and Riley Washington ... has one older sister, Taylor (20), who plays tennis at Pittsburgh ... future career plans include becoming a professional tennis player or a music producer ... chose St. John[apos]s because of the great athletics program and its location in New York City ... majors in communications.
