As A Senior (2018-19): Finished with an 8-4 record during the spring season … 2019 All-BIG EAST First Team selection … 2018-19 BIG EAST Institutional Scholar-Athlete Award Winner … Won five of his eight singles play matches on the No. 2 court … Won 12 doubles matches … Won the bronze medal at the 2018 Central American and Caribbean Games in Barranquilla, Colombia in July … After defeating No. 32 Adam Ambrozy of Columbia, Nunez Aguilera was named BIG EAST Athlete of the Week (Feb. 12).
As A Junior (2017-18): Finished 5-4 in singles play during the fall season ... Reached the finals of the Farnsworth Invitational with a 3-1 mark ... Picked up a pair of wins at the Connecticut State Championships … Named BIG EAST Co-Player of the Year … All-BIG EAST First Team Selection … Named to the BIG EAST All-Academic Team … Playing all but one match on the No. 2 court this season, the junior finished with a 15-3 record … Aguilera won both of his matches in the BIG EAST Men's Tennis Championship to help the Johnnies advance to the semifinals for the fourth time over the last five years.
As A Sophomore (2016-17): Posted a singles record of 5-4 and a doubles record of 7-7… defeated opponent from Villanova in straight sets in the BIG EAST Championship quarterfinals… won one game at the No. 2 position… won straight-sets against Yale 6-1, 6-4… defeated No. 43 Dartmouth and No. 51 Harvard 6-4 at the No. 2 position… went 2-1 in BIG EAST doubles play with Lucas Hejhal … Named to the Men's Tennis All-BIG EAST Team ... Also earned BIG EAST All-Academic Team honors ... Posted a singles record of 12-5 with a perfect 4-0 mark against BIG EAST opponents.
