Before St. John[apos]s: Played three seasons with the Dublin Jerome Celtics as a long pole midfielder ... was the team captain his senior year ... tallied 233 ground balls over his three-year career, with a career-high of 110 ground balls his senior year ... earned first team all-region and all-state honors in 2007 and 2008 ... was named the 2008 Ohio Specialist of the Year ... earned State Farm Scholar-Athlete Honors (2008) ... was a member of the Celtics[apos] 2005 Division IB state championship teams and the runner-up team in 2006 ... also played two seasons of football for the Celtics, where he led the team his senior year with 6.5 sacks ... also named to the 2007 all-conference and all-district second teams ... earned all-conference scholar-athlete honors and was named a McDonald[apos]s Scholar-Athlete of the Week ... was also a member of Dublin Jerome[apos]s National Honor Society and Principal Advisory Committee ... graduated high school summa cum laude ... played lacrosse for the Midwest Lacrosse Club during the summer of 2007.
