Before St. John[apos]s: A three-year starter and two-year captain for Rio Mesa behind the plate ... enjoyed an impressive senior campaign in 2010, helping Rio Mesa reach the CIF-Southern Section Division I playoffs ... hit team-high four home runs while hitting .443 with one double and 15 RBI as a senior ... Rio Mesa ranked fifth in California and second in the country in 2010 ... garnered All-Pacific View League first team honors in 2010 and second team honors in 2009 ... played softball for four years at Rio Mesa and played one year of basketball ... in 2009, her travel team, the So Cal Pumas Gold-Wike finished in third place as the ASA 18U Nationals.
Personal: Born in Oxnard, Calif. ... parents are Franco and Lisa Amar ... has four sisters, Desire, Diana, Danette and Frankie ... hopes to become the CEO of a major corporation one day ... plans to major in finance.

Why did you chose St. John[apos]s? The school is everything I wanted in a college. Plus it[apos]s in New York!
Most influential people in athletic career: My mom and dad and all of my sisters for supporting me throughout all the years. Without them, I wouldn[apos]t be where I am today.
Pre-game ritual: Jammin out to my iPod, drinking Gatorade and making sure my hair and eye black are flawless.
Favorite Movie: 'Love & Basketball'
