As a senior in 2021: Started 28 of the 30 games she appeared in… Tallied 17 hits, including a double and a home run, 12 RBI and seven runs scored… Finished in the top five on the team in batting average, hits, RBI and hit by pitch… Singled, walked and tallied an RBI in a win against Rhode Island (March 5)… Racked up two hits and two RBI in Game 2 of a doubleheader against UMass-Lowell… Laced a two-RBI single in Game 1 of a doubleheader against DePaul (March 13)… Went 2-for-4 with a double, three RBI and a run scored in a win over Seton Hall (March 21)… Hit a two-run home run against Creighton (April 11).
As a junior in 2020: Received the starting nod in all 22 of her appearances… Batted a career-high .278 with 15 hits, 11 RBIs and three runs scored… Smacked an RBI single in the season opener against Clemson (Feb. 7)… Doubled and crossed the plate once versus Indiana (Feb. 8)… Singled against Clemson on the final day of the Black & Gold Tournament (Feb. 9)… Went 1-for-2 with an RBI in the team’s win over Binghamton (Feb. 14)… Turned in a 2-for-3 showing with a walk and an RBI against Binghamton (Feb. 15)… Hit an RBI double against Texas A&M to close out the Aggie Invitational (Feb. 16)… Posted a perfect 3-for-3 performance with a walk to open action at the Cardinal Classic against Northern Colorado (Feb. 21)… Registered a career-high four RBIs and her first career homer against Northern Colorado (Feb. 23)… Drove in a run and singled in the Johnnies’ win over Long Beach State (Feb. 28)… Alongside her twin, Kennedi, who plays for UC Riverside, the sisters belted home runs for their respective teams on Feb. 29, joining the Bogarts brothers when they accomplished the feat on April 28, 2018…
As a sophomore in 2019: Appeared in 31 games, receiving the starting nod on 17 occasions… Recorded nine hits, including a pair of doubles, along with three runs scored and two RBIs… Singled in her only at bat of the season opener against Georgia (Feb. 8)… Walked and scored a run against Manhattan (April 10)… Drove in the game-winning run, the first RBI of her career, on a double in extra innings versus Seton Hall (April 13)… Doubled and crossed the plate once against Villanova (April 27)… In the rubber match against the Wildcats (April 28), posted an RBI single and a run scored in the final home contest of the season.
As a freshman in 2018: Started five and appeared in 31 games for the Red Storm…Scored two runs to go along with two doubles and a single… Perfect fielding percentage with 15 putouts…
Before St. John's: Played ball at West Ranch High School as well as for the Ohana Tigers … Earned scholar athlete award all four years of high school, maintaining a 4.0 both junior and senior year … During Freshman year team earned Foothill league champs … During sophomore while earning Foothill league champs, Sorensen was also CIF runner up … In final year of high school, Sorensen was selected as the league MVP player of the year along with best offensive player of the year … As a senior team was selected first team All Foothill league as well as second team All –Valley.
