Golf Team Enjoying Spring Success Ranks in the Top 100

A big reason for the Red Storms success is the play of junior Andrew Svoboda (Stamford, Conn.) Svoboda has been the most consistent golfer for St. Johns this season. Last week Andrew shared in a six-way tie for first place at the Anteater Invitational. Svobodas consistent play has earned him an individual ranking for Division I golfers of 219 by GolfStat.com. Svoboda leads the Red Storm with an average of 73.10 and is averaging 3.1 strokes off the lead. Every one of Svobodas rounds have been counted and he leads the team with nine rounds of even or under par and he has three top-five, four top-10 and seven top-20 finishes.
The St. Johns golf team looks to continue its winning ways this weekend at the East Carolina Pirate Invitational in Greenville, N.C.
