St. Johns Volleyball Wins its Second Straight

Princeton, N.J.-The St. Johns volleyball team defeated Princeton University, 3-0 (30-11, 30-20, 30-14) tonight in a match played at the Dillon Gymnasium in Princeton, N.J. It is the second win for the Red Storm (6-5) in as many days as they defeated Marist College last night, 3-0.

St. Johns was led by senior Sarah McCrary (Walnut, Calif.) and freshman who each recorded a double-double. McCrary tallied 15 kills on 30 attempts for .467 hitting percentage and 12 digs, while Ahlers recorded a team high 19 kills on 46 attempts on 11 digs. Junior setter Robyn Kurasaki (Milliani, Hawaii) dished out 45 assists while freshman contributed eight kills, seven digs and three solo blocks.

The Red Storm return to action Monday, September 16 when they travel to Siena College. Game time is scheduled for 6:00 p.m.
