Red Storm Volleyball Tops Siena, 3-1

Loudonville, N.Y.- The St. Johns volleyball team defeated Siena College, 3-1 (30-21, 22-30, 30-14, 30-24) tonight in a match played at the Alumni Recreation Center in Loudonville, N.Y. It is the third consecutive victory for the Red Storm who improve their record to 7-5 on the season.
St. Johns was led by senior Sarah McCrary (Walnut, Calif.) and freshman Jackie Ahlers (Stony Point, N.Y) who recorded 16 kills apiece. McCrary added six block assists, while Ahlers recorded a team-high 16 digs. Junior setter Robyn Kurasaki (Milliani, Hawaii) dished out 44 assists and had 12 digs, while junior Rosalyn Dang (Honolulu, Hawaii) had a perfect night, recording four kills on four attempts for a 1.000 hitting percentage. Senior Meaghan Creedon (Rohnert Park, Calif.) contributed with seven kills, four digs and one service ace.
The Red Storm return to action Wednesday, September 18 when they travel to Brooklyn, N.Y. to play Long Island University. Game time is scheduled for 7:00 p.m.
