St. Johns Throwers Compete at Millrose Games

Jamaica, N.Y. - The St. Johns and mens and womens track and field teams began competition in the throwing events of this weekends 2003 Millrose Games. On Saturday, the Games, held at Madison Square Garden will resume for a full day of events.
On the mens side, graduate student Jason Goulart (Providence, R.I.) competed in the mens weight throw earning himself a fifth place finish with a toss of 17.50m.
In womens action, sophomores Blessing Egwu (Queens, N.Y.) and Brandy Bradford (Rockville Centre, N.Y.) finished seventh and eighth, respectively, in the womens weight throw with tosses of 15.14m and 14.74m.
Tomorrow, the Red Storm head to Madison Square Garden, where they will compete in the mens 4x400 and 4x800 meter relays and the womens 4x400 meter relays in the final day of the Millrose Games.
