Cross Country Competes at 2004 NCAA Northeast Regionals

Queens, NY (November 13, 2004) - The St. John's University cross country team competed at the 2004 NCAA Northeast Regional Championship this afternoon at Van Cortlandt Park, Bronx, NY. The Red Storm placed 31st in the event, which featured the best cross country teams in the region.
Junior Jasmine Barreto crossed the line first for the Red Storm with a time of 24:45.9 and was closley followed by newcomer Jodey Johnson who recorded a 24:49.7 in the 5k. Junior Aja Williams (26:04.8) and Sabah Sodoqi (26:24.7) also showed a strong performance for St. John's in the regional competition.
The Red Storm returns to action this Saturday when they return to Van Cortlandt Park to compete in the ECAC Championships.
