Red Storm Competes in First Day of MET Championships

Piscataway, N.J.- The St. John's track and field team had an impressive first day of the Metropolitan Championships held at the Bauer Track and Field Complex at Rutgers University.
Junior Blessing Egwu led the Red Storm throwing unit, placing first in the hammer throw at 51.42. Brandy Bradford and Tetee Kuyateh followed Egwu, finishing third (45.20) and fourth (44.84), respectively. Bradford (40.22) also placed fifth in the discus, followed Elizabeth Aube, who placed fourth in the event at 40.32.
The Red Storm will host the second day of the Metropolitan Championships tomorrow, April 17 at DaSilva Memorial Field starting at 10 a.m.
