Red Storm Competes at BIG EAST Championships

Piscataway, N.J.-The St. John's University track and field team participated in the second day of the BIG EAST Championships held at Rutgers University. The Red Storm is currently in 13th place going into the final day of competition.
Senior Shernette Davis led the Red Storm finishing in second place in the 200m preliminaries at 23.75. Davis also finished third in the 100m preliminaries at 11.68 and will compete for the BIG EAST title in both events tomorrow morning.
The St. John's throwing unit was led by junior Grace Zollman who qualified for the NCAA Regionals while placing third in the javelin throw at 43.38m.
The Red Storm will return to Bauer Track and Field Complex tomorrow where they will compete in the final day of the BIG EAST Championships.
