May 3, 2005, Queens, NY - The St. John's University track and field team hosted the annual Monday Meeting II yesterday at DaSilva Memorial Field. The meet featured teams from all around the Metropolitan area including C.W. Post, New Have, Nassau C.C. and Queensborough C.C.
For the Red Storm, LaToya Wilmot finished first in the long jump at 4.65m and in the triple jump at 9.59m. She also placed third in the 100m dash behind teammates Jennifer Lewis (first, 12.61) and Thalene King (second, 12.64). Tarashon Broomes finished third in the 400 IH with a time of 1:11.53.
The Red Storm returns to action this weekend when they will travel to Rutgers University in Piscataway, NJ for the 2005 BIG EAST Outdoor Championships.
