NEW YORK (AP) - Greeba Barlow had 20 points to lead No. 25 St. John's to a 78-71 win over South Florida on Sunday.
Angela Clark had 16 points and 10 rebounds for the Red Storm (18-4, 8-3 Big East), who improved to 9-0 at home. Kia Wright had 16 points and Tara Walker added 10 for St. John's, which led 35-32 at halftime.
Jessica Dickson, the top scorer in the nation with a 23.4 average, was held to 18 points for the Bull (15-8, 5-5). Shantia Grace added 15 points, Rachael Sheats had 13 and Nalini Miller had 12.
St. John's gained its biggest lead, 71-61, on two free throws by Wright at 1:18. The Bulls came within 71-65 on two free throws by Grace, but the Red Storm ended the game with seven straight free throws.
St. John's opened a 7-1 lead before USF went on a 15-4 run behind Ezria Parsons' four points to move ahead midway through the first half.
