A minimum of 14 athletes are taken for each event. Egwu is 20th in the country for her performance in the weight throw while Reid is 21st in the 400 meters.
"Having two athletes near the top 20 in the country is quite an accomplishment and a testament to their hard work and development over the past four years," said head coach Jim Hurt. "We are quite proud of their achievements and look forward to their further accomplishments during the up coming outdoor season."
It will be announced Monday night whether or not Egwu or Reid qualified for the NCAA Championships. The championships will be held this Friday, March 10 and Saturday, March 11 at the University of Arkansas.
