Men??' Golf Takes Princeton Invitational Championship Title

The St. John???s men???s golf team won its second consecutive team championship on Saturday, when it took first place at the Princeton Invitational. The team shot a 583 over the shortened two round event. Round three was canceled due to inclement weather in the area.
Junior co-captain Keegan Bradley was the runner-up at the Princeton Invitational, finishing with a two-under par 140. He was just two strokes shy of Princeton???s John Sawin, who took first place. Bradley carded a four-under par 67 in round one and a two-over par 73 in round two.
The championship was truly a team effort as George Zolotas and Kevin Velardo also finished in the top 20. Zolotas and Velardo tied for 17th place overall with a 148. Both golfers faired better in the second round of the event as Velardo posted a one-under par 70 and Zolotas carded a one-over 72 par.
Rookies Mike Ballo Jr. and Dan Mollicone finished just a shot apart, recording a 151 and 152, respectively.
Next up for the Red Storm men???s golf team will be the BIG EAST Championships, beginning April 13.
