Kia Wright Named To PrestoSports/MBWA Honor Roll

QUEENS, N.Y. - St. John's women's basketball player Kia Wright has been named to the PrestoSports/Met Basketball Writers Association (MBWA) Honor Roll, as announced by the organization Monday.
Wright had a strong offensive week for St. John's. She averaged 18.0 points per game, tallied eight assists and five steals. She was highly effective with her shooting, averaging 70.0 percent from the floor going 14-of-20. She also averaged 60.0 percent from 3-point range, going 3-for-5.
Against Louisville, the senior scored 20 points (7-of-11) and moved into fourth place in the St. John's all-time scoring list with 1,439 for her career. She followed that performance with 16 points against Providence, only missing two shots in the game (7-of-9). She also tied for the team high with six rebounds and led all players with four steals. Her four thefts in the game moved her into third on the St. John's career record list with 235.
