Svoboda Wins Tournament On NGA Hooters Tour

QUEENS, N.Y. - St. John's men's golf alumnus Andrew Svoboda took the title at the Rocks Spring Ridge Tournament in Apoka, Fla. The tournament is part of the National Golf Association (NGA) Hooters Pro Golf Tour.
Svoboda charged in the final round, scoring an 8-under, 64 on the last day of play. The Larchmont, N.Y. native entered the third round tied for sixth after posting first and second round scores of 68 and 70, respectively.
Two St. John's alumni are currently in the top-five on the money board for the NGA tour. Svoboda is in third with $27,149 in earnings, while 2008 graduate, Keegan Bradley, is fourth with $25,816.
The NGA Hooters Professional Golf Tour is one of the top developmental tours in the United States for professionals to begin their careers. The NGA is the third largest men's 72-hole professional golf tour in the country behind the PGA and Nationwide Tours.
