QUEENS, N.Y. - St. John's men's lacrosse senior attackman Drew Schanen earned ECAC Lacrosse League honors as announced by the conference on Monday. Schanen's honor roll nod is the first of his career.
With a career-high five points on four goals and one assist, Schanen led St. John's in scoring in the Red Storm's 15-8 non-conference victory over the Quinnipiac Bobcats on Saturday. On Feb. 14, Schanen tallied another goal in the Red Storm's 10-5 win at Holy Cross. With six points, the North Brunswick, N.J., native has been the dominant scorer in both victories thus far.

The Red Storm opens league play on Feb. 28 with a home contest against Georgetown, who is ranked No. 5 in both the Feb. 23 Nike/Inside Lacrosse Media Poll and the USILA Coaches Poll. Face-off is slated for 1 p.m. on DaSilva Memorial Field.
