QUEENS, N.Y. - St. John's women's soccer player Jen Leaverton has been named to the Women's Premier Soccer League (WPSL) Team of the Week, as announced by the organization.
Playing for the Bay State Selects out of Easton, Mass., Leaverton has scored two goals in two matches and has tallied nine shots on goal. After finding the back of the net in the Selects 2-1 season-opening win over the Maine Tide on May 15, Leaverton was named the Offensive MVP.
