Inclement Weather Cancels First Day Of Spring Fling

HOWEY-IN-THE-HILLS, Fla. - Rain in Howey-In-The-Hills, Fla., cancelled Friday’s scheduled first round of the St. John’s men’s golf team’s 2010 Spring Fling at Mission Inn Resort & Club.
The tournament is now a 36-hole event at El Campéon Golf Course with the first round on Saturday and the second round on Sunday.
This year’s men’s field includes Appalachian State, Connecticut, Detroit Mercy, Eastern Illinois, Florida Gulf Coast, Morehead State, Saint Leo, St. John’s, Stetson and Tampa. Butler and IUPUI are competing in the women’s tournament.
