QUEENS, N.Y. - The St. John's men's golf team will continue its spring campaign as it heads back to the West Coast for three rounds at the Anteater Invitational hosted by UC Irvine. The team will play 36-holes on Monday at El Niguel Country Club in Laguna Niguel, Calif. before and 18-hole final round on Tuesday.
Joining the Red Storm in the field will be the hosting Anteaters, Cal State Fullerton, Long Beach State, Cal State Northridge, Loyola Marymount, UC Santa Barbara, Sacramento State, Santa Clara, Colorado, Brown and four individuals from UCLA.
El Niguel is a par-72 layout that measures 7,060 yards. Live scoring will be available for all three rounds via GameBook, a scoring system that has players input their scores every six holes in iPhones, feeding the data to GameBook's website, mobile app and the embedded scoring module below.
The Red Storm will be looking to build upon last year's second-place finish at the 2012 Anteater Invitational, where Pat Wilson, Ryan McCormick and Dylan Crowley all garnered top-20 finishes.
St. John's is coming off an 11th-place finish at the Snowman Invitational, where Wilson tied for 14th, while McCormick and Crowley tied for 35th.
