Team Notes
- St. John's, who's ranked fourth in the nation in 3-point field goal defense, held the Friars to 16.7 percent (2-of-12) shooting from behind the arc for the game.
- Aliyyah Handford, Briana Brown, Jade Walker, Danaejah Grant and Keylantra Langley each registered double-figure scoring performances. The last time the Red Storm had five players in doubles figures was on Jan. 11 in a 96-86 win over DePaul.
- The Red Storm outscored the Friar bench 47-22, the most points for the SJU bench this season. The previous high for the squad was 44 bench points in an 80-48 win over Xavier on Jan. 29.
- St. John's topped Providence 22-5 in the second chance points, the highest total in that category since the Red Storm's victory against Xavier on Jan. 29.
Individual Notes
- Danaejah Grant recorded her first career double-double with 11 points and a career-high 10 rebounds.
- Eugeneia McPherson set a new career-high in assists with nine, breaking her previous mark of 8 against DePaul on Jan. 11.
- Jade Walker poured in a career-high 14 points on 6-of-9 shooting from the field.
- With her six assists in the 85-65 win over the Friars, Aaliyah Lewis tied her career-high for the third time this season. The Red Storm is now 4-0 when Lewis dishes out five or more assists.
