Knightes Named To BIG EAST All-Tournament Team

QUEENS, N.Y. - After batting a team-best .429 (3-for-7) in two games at the 2014 BIG EAST Championship, freshman third baseman Robbie Knightes has been named to the All-Tournament Team.
Knightes went 1-for-3 against Seton Hall (May 22) in his first-career postseason game and collected the lone multi-hit game against Xavier (May 23) with a 2-for-4 performance.
The BIG EAST regular season batting champion with a .397 average, Knightes finished his freshman season batting .399 (55-for-138). The freshman, who collected 15 multi-hit games as a rookie, added six doubles, one triple and 26 RBI.
St. John's concluded the 2014 season with a 35-20 overall record. The Red Storm finished second, one game out of first place, in the BIG EAST standings with a 13-5 conference mark and matched a program-record with a league-high eight All-BIG EAST selections.
