QUEENS, N.Y. -- Coming off its first tournament of the season, the St. John's women's golf team returns to action this weekend as the Red Storm travels to Lewisburg, Pa., to compete at the Bucknell Women's Invitational.
Once again Anna Kim will spearhead the St. John's lineup. The senior captain registered her 10th consecutive top-20 finish a week ago when she tied for 17th at the Towson Invitational (158, +14).
Rounding out the starting lineup is junior Saskia Sterud, freshmen Kirsty Beckwith and Lydia Kim as well as redshirt sophomore Lindsey Oliva.
Sterud finished tied for 29th at Towson after posting a 161 (+17) two-round score.
About The Event
The Bucknell Women's Invitational will be played on the par-70, Bucknell Golf Club in Lewisburg, Pa. The tournament can be followed live via golfstat.
A total of 15 teams will compete in this year's field: Bucknell, Fairleigh Dickinson, Kutztown, Lehigh, LIU Brooklyn, Monmouth, Niagara, Princeton, Richmond, Saint Francis (Pa.), St. Francis (N.Y.), St. John's, Seton Hall, Siena and Valparaiso.
The two day, 54-hole tournament will tee-off on Saturday beginning with an 8:30 a.m. shotgun start. The final 18 holes will be played beginning at 8:30 a.m. on Sunday morning.
Last year's medalist was Emily Mills of Rutgers (220), while BIG EAST rival Seton Hall heads into the weekend as the defending Bucknell Women's Invitational champion (899).
