Kiawah Island, S.C. -- Tied for 35th heading into Tuesday's final round, Kim closed out St. John's first tournament of the spring with a tournament-low 68 in the final 18 holes to wrap up the Edwin Watts/Kiawah Island Spring Classic tied in 11th place.
For the tournament, Kim ended up three-strokes over par with a total score of 72-79-68--219 in the 216-player field.
Freshman Kirsty Beckwith placed inside the top-80 after carding a 76-77-78--231 (+15) in the nation's largest collegiate tournament.
The Red Storm climbed spot on the leaderboard each day finishing the tournament ahead of USC Upstate, Radford, Lipscomb University, Presbyterian College, Cleveland State and The Citadel in 35th place.
St. John's improved each day before closing out the event with a 329-327-319--975 (+111) team score.
Coastal Carolina carded a 291-298-282--871 (+7) to capture the team championship, while Chatanooga and College of Charleston round out the top-three spots.
Troy's Fatima Cano and Chatanooga's Imily McLennan shared the medal after registering identical scored of 68-75-67--210 (-6).
The Red Storm is back in action this weekend when the team travels to Daytona Beach, Fla., to compete in the Lonnie Barton Invitational on March 7-8.
