Vavulina and Inclan Sweep March ECAC Monthly Awards

QUEENS, N.Y. - Natallia Vavulina and Olaya Inclan have been named the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Corvias Women's Tennis Players of the Month, it was announced by the conference office on Wednesday.
Vavulina was named the ECAC Division I Player of the Month for March, while Inclan earned ECAC Division I Rookie of the Month honors.
Vavulina went undefeated in singles play in March, going 4-0. She played the No. 1 singles spot in every match this month, winning all of them in straight-sets. In doubles play, Vavulina went 3-1 with her lone loss coming to an opponent from nationally-ranked Syracuse. The junior from Minsk, Belarus, is 20-4 on the year and owns a six-match win streak in singles play.
Inclan went 3-1 in singles play this month, with her lone loss coming to an opponent from ranked Penn. All of her victories were in straight-sets and she has posted a 9-4 record in singles play this season.
St. John's went 2-2 during the month of March with wins over BIG EAST foe Villanova and a sweep of NJIT. The Red Storm, led by first year Head Coach Lauren Leo, takes on BIG EAST opponents Marquette and Seton Hall this Friday and Sunday, respectively.
