Maya Singleton Named First Team NJCAA All-American

QUEENS, N.Y. - After leading Trinity Valley Community College to a runner-up finish in the National Junior College Athletic Association Tournament, Red Storm signee Maya Singleton has earned one of junior college basketball's highest individual honors, finding a spot on the NJCAA All-America First Team.
Singleton, who penned a National Letter of Intent to play at St. John's in November, led the way for the Lady Cardinals in 2015-16 by averaging a double-double with 13.3 points and 11.9 rebounds per game, good enough for 13th in the nation in the latter category.
TVCC, which finished third in the NJCAA Tournament during Singleton's freshman season, turned in a 31-4 record in 2015-16, including a 19-1 mark in conference play.
The seventh-best player in junior college basketball according to Brett McCormick of All Star Girls Report, Singleton was a three-star recruit coming out of high school according to ESPN Hoopgurlz.
