The Johnnies will face their second ranked opponent in as many games
Looking to get back in the win column after a slow start to conference action, the St. John's women's basketball team will travel to Milwaukee for a Sunday afternoon contest with No. 14/13 Marquette inside the Al McGuire Center.
Â
The game, which is set to tip at 3 p.m. ET, will be live streamed on the BIG EAST Digital Network (BEDN) via FOX Sports Go. Patrick Reed and Matt Schumacker will be on the call from Milwaukee.
Â
Sunday's showdown will mark the second time in as many games that the Johnnies will take on a ranked opponent, after falling to No. 24/24 DePaul, 73-64, on Friday evening.
Â
The Johnnies (8-9, 1-5 BIG EAST) enter the contest looking to capture their second BIG EAST victory of the season and first win in four games. Despite its recent setbacks, the Red Storm has received an exceptional effort from junior guard Alisha Kebbe in conference action so far.

Â
In addition to her scoring prowess, Kebbe also leads the squad with 6.2 rebounds per game against league opponents.
Â
With six BIG EAST games in the rear-view mirror, Kebbe is one of three Johnnies averaging double figures, as Qadashah Hoppie paces the squad with 12.3 points per game and Akina Wellere is boasting a 10.2 scoring average during conference play.
Â
Sunday's meeting will be the 21st matchup between the Red Storm and Marquette, with the Golden Eagles owning an 11-9 edge, after sweeping the Johnnies last season. However under the guidance of Head Coach Joe Tartamella, the Red Storm has bested the Golden Eagles on seven of 11 occasions.
Â
Marquette enters Sunday's contest slotted No. 14 in the AP Top-25 and ranked 13th in the USA Today Coaches' Poll, for the highest ranking in program history.
The Golden Eagles are currently undefeated in conference play and are sporting an overall record of 15-3 this season. Most recently, Marquette dismantled Seton Hall at home on Friday afternoon, 96-60, as Natisha Hiedeman and Amani Wilborn each record over 20 points.
Â
The Golden Eagles are paced by BIG EAST leading scorer Hiedeman, who averages a team-best 18.3 points per game to go along 5.1 assists per outing. Five Golden Eagles are averaging double figures on the campaign, as the team has converted 46.9 percent of its tries from the field.
