Kaitleen Shee Named BIG EAST Female Golfer of the Week

Shee claims individual title at Lehigh Invitational to earn conference honors
After claiming medalist honors at the Lehigh Invitational on Tuesday, Kaitleen Shee has been named BIG EAST Female Golfer of the Week, as announced by the conference this afternoon.
Shee becomes the second St. John's golfer to earn the accolade in as many weeks. Last Thursday, Linda Wang received the award following a first-place finish at the Towson Invitational.
After earning medalist honors at the Lehigh Invitational a season ago, Shee reclaimed her title on Tuesday. The Irvine, Calif., native tapped in a birdie putt on the first playoff hole to secure the individual title.
For the 36-hole competition, Shee drained five birdies over two rounds to finish at eight-over 152 (75-77), one stroke ahead of teammate Wang. Shee's stellar effort also helped lead St. John's to its first team title of the fall.
The win at Lehigh marks Shee's first individual title of the season and the third of her Red Storm career.
The St. John's women's golf team will have few months off before returning to action for its spring slate.
