Juice WRLD to Highlight Red Storm Tip-Off

Chicago-born artist to perform in Carnesecca Arena on Oct. 18
QUEENS, N.Y. – Juice WRLD, a star in the music world that transcends traditional genre, will highlight the St. John's Basketball programs' annual Red Storm Tip-Off event on Oct. 18 inside Carnesecca Arena.
Red Storm Tip-Off, which signals the unofficial start of the upcoming men's and women's basketball campaigns, will welcome the 20-year-old Chicago native who burst onto the national scene with his single "Lucid Dreams" in 2018, peaking at no. 2 in the Billboard Hot 100 chart. "Lucid Dreams" was also at one point the most streamed song on YouTube in the U.S. and globally on Spotify. Combined, "Lucid Dreams" had more than 1.1 billion video and audio streams in 2018.
Juice WRLD saw four other singles from his first full-length project Goodbye & Good Riddance find spots on the Billboard Hot 100. The album peaked at no. 6 on the Apple Music worldwide Top Albums chart and no. 4 on the Billboard 200.
His second studio album released in March, Death Race for Love, debuted at no. 1 on the Billboard 200.
So far in 2019, Juice WRLD has opened for Nikki Minaj on her European Tour, performed at Coachella, graced the cover of Billboard Magazine. He also won Top New Artist award at the Billboard Music Awards. He has been nominated for Top New Artist at the BET Awards and performed at the iHeartMedia awards in September.
Doors to the event will open at 6:30 p.m. and tickets are free for all fans. The Carnesecca Arena Ticket Office will open at 9 a.m. on October 18 for St. John's students. Student season ticket holders receive the benefit of having their Red Storm Tip-Off ticket automatically deposited into their online account. Beginning at 4 p.m., the Ticket Office will welcome alumni and the general public to pick up tickets if available.
St. John's season ticket holders are also guaranteed tickets to the event by sending an RSVP to RedStormSports@stjohns.edu no later than October 17.
