Livianu’s straight-set victory moves her one win away from reaching the ITA All-American Championships Main Draw

TULSA, Okla. (Oct. 7, 2019) – On Monday, St. John's senior Jessica Livianu continued her stellar play at the Saint Francis Health System ITA Women's All-American Championships as she advanced to the final round of the singles qualifying draw.

The Brooklyn native knocked off Texas A&M's Jayci Goldsmith in the first of two rounds of the women's singles qualifying stage, 6-0, 6-2.

Livianu will square off with Princeton's Brianna Shvets in the second round of the qualifying draw at the Case Tennis Center. The ITA All-American Championships continue on Tuesday morning and run through next Sunday, Oct. 13.

With a win on Tuesday, Livianu will become the first women's tennis player in program history to cement a spot in the main singles draw of the tournament.
