Johnnies will tee off at 8:30 a.m. on Sunday
The St. John's women's golf team will continue its spring slate on Sunday with the Strutter Gus Invitational at the Georgia Southern University Course in Statesboro, Ga.
The Johnnies will tee off at 8:30 a.m. on Sunday before concluding play on Monday with a shotgun start at 8:30 a.m. on the par-72, 6,111 yard course.
Linda Wang is coming off a third-place showing at the Pinhurst Intercollegiate where she helped lift the Johnnies to a second-place finish. The Fresh Meadows native will look to build off of that momentum on Sunday by starting in the no. 1 slot for St. John's.
Classmate Kaitleen Shee, who has also been successful for the Red Storm this season, recording five top-five finishes, will be playing as the no. 2 golfer. Jessie Kweon, Andrea Sanchez and Alejandra Sanchez will round out the lineup for the Johnnies. Senior Lydia Kim will be playing as an individual in the tournament.
The seven-team field includes host school Georgia Southern, along with St. John's, Boston College, Fairleigh Dickinson, Florida Atlantic, High Point and Stetson.
Results will be posted on RedStormSports.com at the conclusion of each day.
