St. John's Back in Action at the Yale Spring Invitational

The St. John's men's golf team returns to action this weekend, competing at the Yale Spring Invitational in New Haven, Conn., on Saturday.

The tournament will be held at The Course at Yale, a 6,825-yard, par 70 track and will begin at 7:20 a.m. with golfers teeing off the first and 10th holes.

St. John's starting six will be led by senior Austin Briggs. The San Clemente, Calif., native is coming off his best round of the season, posting a 69 at the Wildcat Spring Invitational to turn in a two-round one-under par at the event.

Seniors Ross Moore and Andrew Baek are slotted in the second and third positions, with junior Gerald Mackedon, alongside freshmen Tyler Gerbavsits and Jack Simon rounding out the six-man lineup.

The 11-team field features Brown, Bucknell, Fairfield, Fordham, Hartford, Harvard, Pennsylvania, Siena, St. Bonaventure, St. John's and Yale.

St. John's will tee off the opening round on Saturday morning off the first hole and will be paired alongside Bucknell and Yale.
