St. John’s Men’s Golf Continues Play at the Wildcat Spring Invitational

Tyler Gerbavsits will be starting as the no. 1 golfer for the Red Storm
The St. John's men's golf team is back in action on Monday, as the Red Storm is set to compete in the Wildcat Spring Invitational at White Manor Country Club in Malvern, Pa.
The 20-team field includes BIG EAST foe and host school Villanova along with Akron, Binghamton, Bucknell, Cleveland State, Colgate, Delaware, Drexel, Fordham, Iona, Lafayette, La Salle, Lehigh, Monmouth, Rhode Island, Siena, St. Bonaventure, St. John's, St. Peter's, and Wagner.

Freshman Tyler Gerbavsits will enter the tournament as the team's number one golfer, while seniors Ross Moore and Andrew Baek are slotted in the second and third positions. Austin Briggs and Gerald Mackedon will round out the five-man lineup for St. John's.
The Johnnies are familiar with the White Manor Country Club, as they participated in Villanova's Wildcat Fall Invitational last semester. Mackedon saw success in Malvern, Pa., during the fall slate, closing out the tournament in a tie for fourth place, carding a one-over 216 (71-73-72).
Play will begin on Monday morning with a 9 a.m. shotgun start on the par-71, 6,733 yard course.
