Johnnies United Campaign Raises Over $73,000 in Support of St. John’s Student-Athletes
QUEENS, N.Y. – The Red White Club would like to thank the generous efforts of family, friends, and alumni of St. John's Athletics who have given back this holiday season.
As a result of the widespread participation, the Johnnies United Campaign has shattered its goals thus far, raising over $73,000 from 317 donors. Over 200 of those donors contributed on Giving Tuesday, surpassing last year's total of 76. The support comes at a crucial time where extensive testing, nutrition, mental health and training costs have risen and created financial challenges in providing St. John's student-athletes with a first-class experience.
"On behalf of everyone involved with St. John's Athletics, I'd like to thank all our benefactors who support the Red Storm," said Nick Vendikos, Senior Director of Athletic Development. "The numbers for Giving Tuesday were incredible. It demonstrates that when Johnnies unite, we collectively can make an immediate and significant impact."
The Johnnies United Campaign will run through the end of December. All are welcome to join members of the Red Storm community by making a gift in support of the St. John's student-athletes who continue to excel in the classroom, on the field, and in the community.
