The St. John's men's golf team will continue its fall slate Oct. 3-5 at the UConn Invitational at GreatHorse.
Â
The 54-hole event will take place over three days with the first round beginning at 10:15 a.m. on Sunday.
Â
Head Coach Mal Galletta's lineup will consist of Jack Simon in the no. 1 slot, followed by Gage Wolfle, Tyler Gerbavsits, Peicheng Chen and Joseph Busiello.
Â
Simon and Wolfle led the way for the Red Storm in the team's most recent outing at the Wildcat Fall Invitational, both earning top-25 finishes at the event.
Â
The 16-team field will include UConn, Army, Bryant, Columbia, Fairleigh Dickinson, Hartford, Hofstra, Iona, Lafayette, LIU, Navy, Rhode Island, Rider, St. John's, Sacred Heart, and Siena.
Â
GreatHorse, the site of the 2018 Mass Open, is one of the most picturesque courses in all of New England, owned by the Antonacci family.
Â
After purchasing the former Hampden Country Club in January, 2012, the Antonacci family embarked on a $55 million overhaul and redesign by New England-based golf course architect Brian Silva that transformed the country club into the impressive facility that it is today.
Â
Live scoring will be available via GolfStat and all results will be posted to RedStormSports.com at the conclusion of each day.
