The Johnnies downed No. 13 Providence, 2-0, on Wednesday afternoon in Rhode Island before falling to No. 3 Georgetown, 1-0, on Saturday in the nation's capital.
In that Wednesday win over the Friars, the Johnnies scored twice in the final 30 minutes, as Tani Oluwaseyi netted the game-winner in the 63rd minute off an assist from Drew Rosen before assisting on a Wesley Leggett insurance goal in the 90th minute. Oluwaseyi, who missed the Villanova loss with a lower body injury, came off the bench in the 58th minute of Wednesday's victory. For his efforts, the reigning BIG EAST Offensive Player of the Year was rewarded with a spot on the conference's weekly honor roll for the third time in four opportunities this spring. The junior forward from Mississauga, Ont., ranks second in the league with five goals, four of which have been game-winners, and leads the BIG EAST with a 2.00 point-per-game average.
The Red Storm enters its midweek contest against Seton Hall with an overall record of 4-3-0, including a 2-3-0 mark in BIG EAST play. All three of the Johnnies' conference falters have been by the score of 1-0, including an Feb. 27 loss in South Orange in the first meeting between these two teams. Seton Hall is currently tied with Georgetown (3-0-1, 10 pts) for the top spot in the conference's East Division. In each of the team's first five games, Hoffelner started things off before Gavran took over at halftime. Last week, the Johnnies flipped the script, giving Gavran the start and bringing in Hoffelner, the reigning BIG EAST Co-Goalkeeper of the Year, at the intermission. As a team, the Johnnies rank fourth in the BIG EAST and 39th nationally with a 0.71 goals against average, one spot behind Seton Hall in both the conference and national rankings at 0.70.

Luca Dahn, who scored the equalizer against Providence, has two goals and an assist, as does Johannes Pex. Paavo Riihjarvi, who scored the lone goal in the last meeting between these two teams, also has a pair of tallies on the season.
