The St. John's women's golf team continues its spring slate on April 11-12 at the Sacred Heart Spring Invitational.
The Red Storm enters the two-day 36-hole event on the heels of three-straight team titles to open the 2021 spring slate. Most recently, the Johnnies came away victorious at the Pinehurst Invitational, turning in scores of 300-301-296=897.
Freshman Angelica Kusnowo led the way for St. John's at the Pinehurst Invitational, finishing second overall in the standings. The Chino Hills, Calif., native played a spectacular final round, firing off five birdies over 18 holes to sign off on a season-low three-under 69. Kusnowo will enter the tournament as the Johnnies' number one golfer while graduate student Linda Wang and sophomore Cloe Clocchiatti are slotted in the second and third positions. Junior Jessie Kweon and senior Andrea Sanchez will round out the Red Storm lineup, while classmates Jill Beglin and Laia Barro are competing as individuals.
