Jessica Garziano Earns BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll Spot

Sophomore midfielder picked up her seventh goal of the season against Providence
Sophomore midfielder Jessica Garziano has been named to the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll, it was announced Monday by the league office.
Garziano, a native of Melville, N.Y., has been recognized by conference three times over the 2021 spring slate.
The 5-foot-7 midfielder tallied a goal for the Red Storm in a week that featured back-to-back draws with Providence.
In the Johnnies' first matchup with the Friars on April 8, Garziano struck in the 34th minute on the team's first chance of the game. The sequence began as Annie Wysong sent a long pass up to Garziano just outside the 18-yard box. Garziano then rocketed a shot towards the right side of the cage, as the ball ricocheted off the goal post and into the net.
Garziano wrapped up the 2021 spring slate as the team's leading scorer, finding the back of the net seven times over the regular season, including a pair of game winners. With seven scores on the year, Garziano ranks third overall in the conference. In addition to her scoring ability, she also tallied a pair of assists for a combined 16 points through 12 games this season.
