St. John’s Travels to Quinnipiac Classic

St. John’s prepares for 54-hole event
QUEENS, N.Y. – The St. John's women's golf team travels to Wallingford, Conn. for the Quinnipiac Classic from Oct. 10-11.
The two-day 54-hole event will be played at The Farms Country Club, with the first two rounds on Monday and the final 18 holes on Tuesday. Shotgun starts are scheduled for 9 a.m. on both days at the par-72 6,163-yard course.
The Red Storm joins Merrimack, Bryant, Holy Cross, Fairfield, LIU, Hartford, Sacred Heart, Fairleigh Dickinson, Siena and host Quinnipiac at the two-day tournament. The St. John's line-up will include Jessie Kweon, Amy Kim, Cloe Clocchiatti, Jill Beglin and Karen Beglin. Angelica Kusnowo will compete as an individual.
This marks the second-straight year the Johnnies will be participating in the event. Last season, St. John's finished in second place, posting a 937 as a team. Kweon was the Johnnies' top finisher, tying for second place with a 13-over 229.
During the team's first event of the year, St. John's took 10th place at the Princeton Invitational as the team carded a 925 for the 54-hole tournament. Kweon paced the Red Storm squad, recording a 16-over 229 at the tournament to tie for 32nd place.
Live scoring will be available via Golfstat and results will be posted to RedStormSports.com at the conclusion of each day.
