St. John’s Travels to Sunshine State to Meet Stetson

Red Storm will its first of two matches in Florida on Sunday morning
QUEENS, N.Y.- The St. John's women's tennis team has headed down to Florida for a pair of matches. The first will come at Stetson on Sunday morning. First serve is slated for 10 a.m. from the Mandy Stoll Tennis Center in DeLand, Fla.

In its last time out, the Red Storm fell at the racquets of Columbia, 4-2, on Wednesday afternoon at the Lifetime Fitness Center. Mouna Bouzgarrou and Lalita Devarakonda brought home their third consecutive doubles win in just five days. In individual play, Yesica de Lucas delivered a convincing straight set win over Columbia's Jennifer Kerr on the no. 3 court, 6-0, 6-2.
Sunday's meeting will mark the first-ever between the two programs. The Hatters head into the match with a 7-1 record on the year, dropping its first contest to USF on Wednesday, 4-3.
Following Sunday's matchup, the Johnnies will make their way to face Florida Gulf Coast for the finale of their Florida trip on Tuesday. The contest will commence at 10 a.m in Fort Myers, Fla.
