St. John’s Faces No. 74 Florida Gulf Coast on Tuesday

Red Storm look to bounce-back in Florida after Sunday’s loss to Stetson
QUEENS, N.Y.- The St. John's women's tennis team will take on no. 74 Florida Gulf Coast on Tuesday morning. The action will get underway at 10 a.m. from the FGCU Tennis Complex.
On Sunday, the Red Storm fell at Stetson, 5-2. Mouna Bouzgarrou registered another victory on the no. 1 court. The NJIT transfer leads the team with six singles wins this spring. In doubles competition, Yesica de Lucas and Jayden Nielsen contributed another tally. The pair now holds a team-high 5-1 record. Bouzgarrou and teammate Lalita Devarakonda have been rolling in doubles competition, notching its fourth straight win on Sunday.
Tuesday will mark the first time the two programs will meet on the hard-court in nine years. On March 13, 2013, the Eagles moved past the Red Storm, 5-2, in Fort Myers, Fla.
Florida Gulf Coast enters the first of five straight matches at home with a 5-4 record. Most recently, the Eagles fell to USF, 4-1, on Sunday afternoon.
