St. John’s Completes Hoya Invitational

Red Storm takes 10th place at the two-day event
ROCKVILLE, MD (April 10, 2022) – Following the final day of competition from Woodmont Country Club, the St. John's women's golf team placed 10th at the Hoya Invitational.
As a team, the Red Storm shot a combined 954 for the weekend after carding a 316 during the final round of competition on Sunday. Boston University was the winner in clubhouse, posting a 915 for the tournament to finish four strokes ahead of second place Harvard.
Leading the way for St. John's was Jessie Kweon, who recorded a 75, her best round of the weekend. The senior finished locked in a tie for 19th at the event as she logged a three-round score of 234.
Angelica Kusnowo also tallied her best round of the weekend on Sunday. The sophomore carded a 78 for a combined score of 240, placing her in a tie for 38th. Karen Beglin held sole possession of 43rd place as the freshman's 84 during the final round gave her a 242 after 54 holes.
Finishing one stroke behind Beglin was Andrea Sanchez, who tied for 44th place. The Cancun native carded an 84 during the final round to finish with a combined score of 243. Rounding out the Red Storm squad was Cloe Clocchiatti, who posted a 79, her best round of the tournament, to finish tied to 54th place with a two-day total of 246.
The Johnnies will be back in action at the BIG EAST Championship, taking place at Mountain View Course in Pine Mountain, Ga. The three-day event will begin on April 21.
