Red Storm will meet the Owls for its non-conference regular season finale
QUEENS, N.Y.- The St. John's men's tennis team will make the trip to Philadelphia to take on Temple on Wednesday afternoon at 2 p.m at the TU Pavilion.
The Red Storm is fresh off its first BIG EAST win and 14th of the season after taking down Marquette, 4-3, on Saturday. Ignacio Garcia, Vlad Vasilache and Giuseppe De Camelis won their singles matches during the triumph over the Golden Eagles.
Three-time BIG EAST Doubles Team of the Week Axel Vila Antuna and Garcia continue to pace the Red Storm. The duo notched another win on the top court, their eighth this year, against Marquette.
This will mark the third time St. John's has played in the City of Brotherly Love during the 2021-22 season. The Johnnies played in two different events during the fall slate, both were held at the University of Pennsylvania.
Heading into Thursday's contest, Temple posts an 11-8 on the season and an undefeated 8-0 mark at home. The team has won its past two matches as the Owls recorded victories over George Mason and Drexel last week.
Following Wednesday's match, the Johnnies will head down to the nation's capital for their regular-season finale against Georgetown at 1 p.m.
