Red Storm gets set for final regular season tournament
QUEENS, N.Y. (April 8, 2022) – St. John's women's golf prepares for its final regular season tournament, as the team travels to the Hoya Invitational in Rockville, Md., this weekend.
The 54-hole event from the par-72, 6,125-yard Woodmont Country Club will begin on Saturday. The field of 13 teams will include Boston University, Columbia, Harvard, Howard, Penn, Princeton, Quinnipiac, Seton Hall, Stetson, St. John's, Towson, Yale and tournament host Georgetown.
The Red Storm lineup for the two-day event will consist of Angelica Kusnowo, Cloe Clocchiatti, Jessie Kweon, Andrea Sanchez and Karen Beglin.
The Johnnies claimed the Hartford Invitational title during their last outing. The team posted a total score of 594 for the 36-hole tournament at Wintonbury Hills. Kweon claimed the individual championship as the senior shot a combined 146 for the weekend.
